Are you interested in becoming a Volunteer Firefighter?
The Fire Departments in East Hants are almost all totally volunteer based and are made up of residents from each of their communities. These people dedicate their time to train, learn and grow as a member of the Fire Service while responding to emergency calls both within their own community as well as supporting neighboring communities.
All required training is provided at absolutely no cost to you and is accomplished through training programs at the department level on a weekly basis as well as a Basic Firefighting program through the East Hants Fire Service. Additionally, members may also take part in courses offered by the Nova Scotia Firefighter School along with other outside agencies engaged to provide training
