This website has been designed and implemented to support mental health awareness for Volunteer Fire Fighters within East Hants and provide tools along with contact information for those who may need some assistance. It is also a place where you can learn about the Service and reach out to join us.
For Members
With the help of a Provincial grant for a Mental Health & Wellness Program, along with assistance from our partners at VFIS, Homewood MAP, CISM, and the Municipality of East Hants we have been able to provide this site along with the various video content and print media pieces to increase its impact and accessibility for all our members.

Residents of East Hants receive fire/emergency response service from 13 mutual aid volunteer fire departments within its boundaries and one volunteer department located in Brooklyn.

The Fire Departments in East Hants are almost all totally volunteer based and are made up of residents from each of their communities.
